Jeffrey Smith represents clients through every stage of litigation, from pre-suit negotiations through final appeals. Jeffrey begins all client relationships with a focus on winning trial and has significant experience in business and commercial litigation, including contract, commercial and residential construction, and insurance benefit disputes (E.R.I.S.A. claims). Jeffrey also has experience handling unique commercial disputes involving business disparagement claims, including the Texas Citizens Participation Act (TCPA) and Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (Anti-SLAPP).
Jeffrey approaches all cases with the same dedication he exerted on the field as a member of The University of Texas at Tyler’s baseball team. While in law school, he was a member of South Texas College of Law’s Board of Advocates and mock trial team. Jeffrey further gained considerable courtroom and trial experience while interning with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office for over two years.
