Biography

Michael Quirke focuses his practice on civil and commercial litigation in state and federal courts. He represents clients in a wide range of disputes, including personal injury, premises liability, construction defects, landlord-tenant, environmental, and constitutional matters.

Michael has nearly a decade of litigation experience and has managed cases through all phases of litigation. He has obtained favorable results for clients in both bench and jury trials and approaches each matter with the belief that every case should be prepared as if it will be tried. This trial-focused strategy often positions clients for successful resolution before trial becomes necessary.

Before practicing law, he led a journalistic 501(c)(3) that he co-founded with the Texas State Climatologist. The organization served as an objective forum, blog, and fact-checking website featuring contributions from dozens of actively publishing climate, earth, and physical scientists.

Prior to attending law school, Michael served as an infantry officer in the United States Army and is an Iraq War combat veteran. During his final year in the Army, he served as the Aide-de-Camp to the acting Commanding General of the 1st Infantry Division.

A Houston native, Michael enjoys spending time outdoors, biking and birding along Buffalo Bayou, and remaining engaged in the local community through his involvement with Mercy Street Church at UMC Chapelwood and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8790. He is devoted to pursuing excellence in his legal profession in a way that glorifies God, helps him become a better man, and strengthens his community.
