Biography

Megan maintains an active appellate and trial practice in Texas and Louisiana with a focus on complex commercial matters. Throughout her career, Megan has had the opportunity to serve on trial teams in state and federal courts handling all aspects of trial from filing the petition to judgment. In her appellate practice, Megan continues to utilize her trial court experience in assisting trial teams with pre-trial motions, jury charges, and post-trial motions. She has briefed appeals and presented oral argument in both state and federal appellate courts. Megan previously served as a staff attorney at Texas’s Fourteenth Court of Appeals.

After serving for numerous years on various committees of the Houston Bar Association Appellate Practice Section, she was elected to the Council in 2025. She currently serves as a First Year Council Member and is the Meetings and Membership Chair. Megan is a Fellow of both the Texas Bar Foundation and Houston Bar Foundation.

Representation of appellant vessel owner and successfully obtaining reversal following summary judgement in insurance coverage dispute. Presented oral argument.

Representation of well operator in oilfield services dispute involving damages, including loss of well.

Representation of offshore drilling company in an international arbitration in complex insurance coverage dispute.

Representation of individual in FINRA arbitration relating to margin trading.
